Diablo II w/ Lord of Destruction Expansion

Posted by: bam on: September 19, 2007

I spent many hours skipping class and playing Diablo II. It’s the only MMO I’d ever say I became “addicted” to. But even by today’s standard my definition of being addicted wouldn’t even begin to compare to others. I believe the longest amount of time I ever spent on the game in one sitting was 8 hours. That was probably fewer than 5 times, as well. I have a short attention span, so for a game to even hold my attention for more than an hour it has to have some pretty great elements.

Then came the Lord of Destruction expansion which added new character classes, worlds, weapons, armor, rares, etc. It was almost like a completely new game and just in time. By the time the expansion came out I had stopped playing regularly. Lo-and-behold I’m playing hours on end again.

While the Blizzard community left much to be desired, the game had my loyalty. To this day I still play D2 LOD. Not regularly, but it’s still fun to pass the time with this – now classic – PC game.

5/5 stars

It’s 2009 and I still play Diablo 2, LOD. It is the Greatest, yet believe it or not I can see Diablo 3 being even better, if that is possible.

Right now I’m working on a pure Lightning Amazon, pushing 40K lightning damage. Awesome. Sweet.
