A portable version of Guitar Hero. While it’s $50, I’d have to say that it’s an o.k. investment as far as playability and gaming goes. You’re limited to the amount of songs you can play at 25. Once you beat them, much like every other GH game out there, you just progress to the next [...]

So, if you go into used game stores you’ll usually find the old Contra games. Unfortunately they’re overpriced because they’re “rare”. Whatever.
I fixed this problem. I walked into Game Stop and purchased Contra 4 for $20. It’s like a blast from the past but with better graphics and portability. You [...]

With the wild success of Brain Age you’d think it would be hard to match, but this is a great follow-up. There’s a nice variety of mini games and if you have both games you shouldn’t ever be bored. Being an avid piano player for over 20 years now I find the “piano playing” game [...]

I like to consider myself a dedicated Nintendo fan. Unfortunately Nintendo’s really dropped the ball with their releases. This past year has seen 1 good Wii release – Super Mario Galaxy. While some of their other releases have been okay they haven’t really been “good”. Case and point Wario Ware Smooth Moves.
I have to say [...]

I feel like I’m 6 years old again. While the game itself has the same general idea as Brain Age, I find that since it’s geared more towards kids it’s also a bit more fun. There are different levels (easy, medium, hard) and different variations of the “tests” which spices things up a [...]

One of the first DS games I’ve actually played that uses the touch screen for essentially every aspect of the game. This is a terrific sequel to Wind Waker and in my opinion even better. I’m partial to the hand held games, though. I love portability. If you’re not familiar with [...]

I’d just like to mention that I’m playing The New Super Mario Bros. again and man is it amazing. If you own a DS you should buy it. Now. This instant. Go go go.
That’s it.
Go buy it already!

I wasn’t a big fan of Super Mario 64 because of the 64’s controllers. Now that it’s in the portable format I find that I enjoy it a lot more. Screw the 64’s controllers and my tiny midget hands. Super Mario 64 is missing that 2d side scrolling element which I really [...]

Holy shit it’s like DDR for your fingers! If you have no rhythm you’ll really suck at this game. Some of the music sucks (YMCA, what?), but hey it’s the novelty of the music that makes it good. And silly.

Good game for mental stimulation. If you’re a sudoku fan you should pick up this game. I wouldn’t suggest any of the games that require you to “be in a quiet room so you can speak” as it doesn’t pick up voice inflections very well. That’s ok though. There’s only [...]
